As a lot of people wants to use Diagramo in so many ways and
I get tons of emails about this idea and I do not always
remember all the ideas I need to tell them I decided to place
most of those information in this small document.
What kind of licenses Diagramo has?
Diagramo is an open source application. It is licensed under 2(two) licenses: GPL and commercial (donation ware).
The Free license is GPL and is for those that wants to extend Diagramo but make their work free.
Contributors have a "premium business class" seat in our heart.
Commercial license is for those that want to extend Diagramo but wants to keep the changes for themselves.
For that they need to make a donation to Diagramo community of $999 and then they can utilize the code
in their commercial product. Those money will end up sponsoring development of new features.
So things are pretty simple: free for free and paid for paid.
Can you extend Diagramo for my needs?
We want to keep focusing on enhancing
the core of Diagramo so other can extend it more easily.
(There a lot of things we want to add see here
the stuff we (about to) add to the core)
Because of that we might or might not be available for customization.
We usually prefer to work on the core but if your customization is VERY interesting we might agree.
We might even implement some features for free if we feel they can be added to the core of Diagramo.
Our fee per hour is $30.
I just bought Diagramo application, does this means I have a license?
No, Diagramo application you installed is "our release" of Diagramo.
You can make your own release too. The symbolic money you paid is used
to get ourselves a beer, soda or hot tea - depending of weather.
